Exercise!

I plan on expanding this sometime in the future, but for now I’m going to post some WICKED awesome workouts from my super fit sister, Holly.

She teaches an exercise class once a week and always sends me the workout.

They are AWESOME!

I would highly recommend them to anyone, especially if you can’t/don’t go to the gym.

These workouts will kick your can!

Love them!

    Hi Melanie,
I am new to reading blogs but came across yours while searching for a protein bar recipe. Found what I was looking for but also really, really enjoyed reading your blog.
Question for you, I am a mother of 2 and seem to stuggle with making time or finding time for myself to workout/exercise, so as a mother of 5, how do you do it?? lol

I’m so glad you found my blog Cindy! I must say, it is SO TOUGH to exercise regularly and it’s extra challenging to do it when you have kids! I wrote a post a while back about exercise that might help you. Here’s the link.

Here are a few tips that help me to exercise regularly; 1. Find a form of exercise that you like and that you will stick with. I love to run and go to classes at the gym. 2. Find a time that will work best for you….write it on your calendar and then be really diligent about making sure it happens! 3. Find an exercise buddy. If I know someone is waiting for me at the gym, it makes it much easier to get there!

I really love to exercise at a gym. It gets me away from the house and distractions and it helps to exercise with people all around! I love going to classes because the instructors really push me. I also utilize the day care occasionally and that helps SO MUCH! If you can’t/don’t want to go to the gym I would see if you can find a friend to switch babysitting with. That helps too. I also have a double jogger and have taken my kids on plenty of runs with me.

The bottom line is…it’s really tough. I’m so sorry to say that. I just really try to stick with my regular workout schedule. Sometimes I leave the house a wreck or the laundry undone, but I remind myself it will be there when I get back!

Sorry, I’ve gone on and on. I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can help you in any way. Good luck!
