K guys, I have to say I LOVE this recipe so much! It’s yummy, healthy, rich, creamy, filling, packs a huge protein punch (44 grams!) and definitely satisfies the sweet tooth! Woo hoo.
I originally saw this recipe in the November 2011 issue of Oxygen Magazine (love, love, love that magazine btw.) I tried their recipe, but it wasn’t quite chocolatey or sweet enough for me. I decided to play with it a bit and I love the way it turned out!
So, for all you chocolate lovers out there (isn’t everyone!?), here ya go!
- 1 cup fat free plain Greek yogurt (I love Fage, Chobani or Kirkland brands)
- 1/2 to 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (depending on how much protein you want!)
- 1 Tablespoon natural peanut butter (optional)
- 1 Tablespoon baking Stevia
- 1 Tablespoon cocoa
- 1-2 Tablespoons of milk, depending on the consistency you want.
Mix everything together and enjoy! Optional: top with banana slices, nuts, unsweetened coconut, chia seeds, chocolate chips, etc.
**Update (2/20/16): I make this Protein Pudding all the time, but now I leave out the protein powder. One cup of plain Greek yogurt has ~24 grams of protein already, so I figure that’s enough and it saves some calories too! It tastes great without the protein powder too.
These nutrition facts are calculated using 1 cup Kirkland Plain Greek yogurt, 1/2 scoop Sunwarrior Warrior Blend Protein Powder and 2 Tablespoons Silk Unsweetened Almond milk.
