Well I’m still going strong on my #OxyChallenge and I love it! It’s really not incredibly hard, but it does take constant commitment and dedication. I’m feeling very stubborn and committed, so I KNOW I’ll make it through the entire thing. Quite frankly, I like to think of it kind of like a game….”What would happen if I actually followed this program to a T?” Hmmmm? I’m curious and excited to find out! I love health and fitness and strive to live a healthy lifestyle all the time, but sometimes I get off track, lose motivation and become a little Continue Reading…
My Healthy “Happy Medium” and a Great Father’s Day Weekend
I’m happy to say I’m still going strong with my healthy challenge and new “healthy brain shift!” It’s great and has been so life-changing for me. I think I’ve finally found the “perfect” long-term healthy diet and mindset for me! In regards to healthy eating, I’m an “all or nothing” kind of person. When I eat well, I…EAT…WELL. Period. End of story. I read every label, stay away from every bad thing in sight, stick to my guns and I….don’t….budge. However, when I’m done with a “healthy challenge” or if I indulge in one of my favorite junk foods, I Continue Reading…
Healthy Eating, Bargain Shopping and RUNNING!
Ummmm, ya. I’ve been totally MIA lately. We were out of town for a funeral last week and then Kev was out of town running a Relay Race over the weekend, so I was holdin’ down the fort by myself. Crazy life. I don’t know about the rest of you mothers out there, but now that summer’s in full force, I’m having a hard time finding any quiet time to put two thoughts together, let alone blog about it! It’s nuts. But, I’m happy to say I’ve been eating so well and my “Healthy Brain Shift” has stayed for the Continue Reading…
Clean Eating + Elli Quark Cheese + a Cute Visor + Running is Hard
Happy Monday y’all! I’m about a week into my “3 Months, No Crap” plan and it’s going great! For the most part it hasn’t been too hard. It kind of reminds me of going on a “long run” instead of a sprint. I like to think of it as a “slow and steady” way to lose weight, get in shape and improve my overall health. I’m also hoping to form some long-term lifestyle habits. Sooo, because it’s a long-term plan and not a “get fit quick” kind of thing, I’m trying to celebrate the little triumphs. For example… Kev and Continue Reading…
South Beach Good to Go Bars, Homemade Larabars and other Healthy Stuff
Happy Friday! I love FRIDAYS so much! Who doesn’t? I have a bunch of random things to share with y’all today. First off, I got some fun things in the mail from South Beach Diet the other day that I want to share. They recently came out with a new line of “Good to Go Bars” and they are fabulous! They come in varieties such as Soft Baked, Extra Protein, Extra Fiber and Gluten Free. They range from 120-150 calories, are high in protein (6-10 grams), high in fiber (5-9 grams) and don’t have any artificial sweeteners or flavors. Yay! Continue Reading…
Thoughts about Healthy Eating + My Egg Creation Recipe
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all have something fun planned for the weekend. I love weekends and am so grateful they come once a week. 😉 I’m hoping for a little R&R this weekend because life has been insane lately! We’ve had so much going on and I can’t keep up! It’s seriously been borderline “pull my hair out, put me in the funny farm and lock me up in an institution” kind of crazy. Ya. In fact, I kind of resemble Jack Nicholson a bit these days… Pretty much sums it up! Except his hair is better than Continue Reading…
