I Love Chobani Yogurt!

January 10, 201310 Comments

I received this fun package in the mail from Chobani a couple weeks ago…

Chobani packages

I loved the way they packaged everything….and, look what was inside!

Yummy Chobani yogurt

Yogurt!  How ’bout that!  I love Chobani yogurt SO MUCH.  It is hands down my favorite yogurt out there.  It’s so delicious (I think it tastes like a treat!) and I love that they only use natural, high quality ingredients.  I also love that it has twice as much protein (13+ grams) as regular yogurt!  Yay.

I love eating Greek yogurt as a snack and I love cooking with it.  When I received this fun package, I decided to get creative and come up with some fun ways to use yogurt!  BTW, Chobani has a bunch of yummy recipes on their site in the Chobani Kitchen.  I’m going to try several of them.  But, for now here are some of my own little creations!

I enjoyed the fat free peach one all by itself.  Yum!

My 2 littlest boys enjoyed the 2% Pineapple one.  They loved it, but I’m more of a Fat-free yogurt kind of gal. 😉

I was especially excited to try this kind,

Me with Chobani yogurt

Vanilla Chocolate Chunk!??  Yes, please.  It was super yum, but I wish it came in fat free. 🙁

Here are some of the fun creations I’ve come up with the past couple weeks (recipes soon to follow).

Healthy Yogurt Vegetable Dip!

Chocolate Protein Pudding!

AND, Creamy Chicken Vegetable Stir Fry!

These recipes are definitely all “keepers!”  I loved them all.  I will post all the recipes ASAP.  I love how versatile yogurt is.  You can pretty much substitute it for sour cream, mayo or cream cheese in most recipes!  Awesome!

I hope y’all are having a wonderful day! xoxo

Chobani provided me with the yogurt free of charge, yet the opinions expressed are, as always, entirely my own!

Yummy Chicken Pesto Sandwich

February 1, 20126 Comments

I made an absolutely delicious sandwich for lunch today that I thought I would share!!  It was a chicken pesto sandwich and is was so so yummy!  It had chicken, Swiss cheese, pesto, spinach and roasted peppers on it.  I loved it so much, I’ll probably make another one tomorrow!! FYI, I used leftover chicken taco meat from dinner last night (recipe to come later), but you could use any chicken or turkey you like.  I also roasted the peppers myself (highly recommended!), but you could use the jarred kind at the store if you like.  If you want to Continue Reading…

Random Healthy Food

January 27, 20122 Comments

I’m so sorry to report that I am still a very sick lady. 🙁  I was doing a little better for a couple days and then I went downhill in a hurry.  I suspected I might have a sinus infection, so last night I dragged myself over to the Instacare and left with some antibiotics.  SoOoOoOoooo, I better get better soon!  I’m am not very good at being patient. I gotta say I feel a little bit like a hypocrite writing on my “Healthy Happy Mel” blog.  Lately I’ve been more like “Deathly Ill, Mostly Miserable Mel”, but I am Continue Reading…
